Her proudest moments have resulted in many of her solos awarded She prides herself in creating a fun environment while developing dance skills and building confidence through hard work, patience, and dedication. She works hard to bring the best out in them, even when they do not see it in themselves. Rene' is talented, and has a special ability to connect with her dancers. Ultimately, leading to years as a successful instructor to hundreds of dancers. She danced through high school, attended dance conventions, and decided to take it one step further. Throughout her dancing career she is exceptionally experienced in the competition industry and is know through the state for her choreography and talented solo routines for many competitive dancers. She has performed at NFL and NBA games, pro bowl in Hawaii and on cruise ships around the world. Dance has been part of Rene’s life for the past 29 years with 17 of those years as a dance instructor. Rene' DeC aria, bringing years of dance and competition experience. Katelynn currently enjoys teaching and performing as a freelance movement artist within and beyond the Salt Lake and Davis County areas. Killian was awarded scholarship to Ririe Woodbury Dance Company’s 2018 summer Move-It intensive. She also has had the pleasure to design the lighting of evening length shows in Westminster’s dance department: The Right Kind of Ugly, Kaleidoscope, Surrendered Contact.

Killian has performed in the plays Love and Information by Carol Churchill and Big Day for the Byrons by Max Huftalin. Along with original works by dance department faculty Bethany Hansen, Natalie Desch, Michelle Armstrong, Allison Shir, Sara Pickett, Nathan Dryden and multiple collaborative student-generated dance works. In her time with the dance program she has had the privilege to perform renowned José Limón and Doug Varone repertoire.

A graduate of Westminster College with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance awarded Outstanding Graduating Senior. Katelynn Killian is a Salt Lake City born and based Dance Artist.
